HogWild Sauteed Chicken
This recipe is elegant and incredibly tasty. You could be proud to serve it to guests any night. And the best thing about it is it takes only minutes to prepare! Add some HogWild sauteed green beans, a tossed salad and some HogWild garlic bread for a truly delicious and healthy meal.
- 4 Boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 Stick butter or margarine -OR- 1/2 stick butter and 1/2 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- One small onion, sliced thinly
- 1 Teaspoon + 1 Tablespoon HogWild Original Italian Spice Blend
Melt butter (and olive oil) in a large skillet over medium high heat
Add sliced onion and sprinkle with 1 teaspoon Italian Spice Blend
Sautee onion until barely tender; about 2 minutes
Liberally season chicken breasts with 1 tablespoon Italian Spice Blend
Place in skillet and lightly brown on both sides; about 4 – 5 minutes per side
Reduce heat to medium – low, and continue to sautee until chicken is completely cooked and the juices run clear; about 30 minutes; turning every 10 minutes or so
If desired, top chicken pieces with the cooked onion to serve
Here are a few options you may wish to try:
- Sautee chicken in 1/2 cup butter and 1/2 cup fruity white wine
- Add juice of one lemon to chicken halfway through cooking
- Add sliced red, orange, yellow or green bell pepper to onion
- Add sliced green onion to chicken about 10 minutes before it is done
