HogWild Squash Saute

  • HogWild Squash Saute is delicious and healthy!

    Two Zucchini, sliced into 3/8″ slices

  • One Yellow Crook Neck squash, sliced into 3/8″ slices
  • One small yellow onion, thinly sliced
  • Two shallot cloves, thinly sliced
  • One tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • One tablespoon HogWild Original Italian Spice Blend
  • Juice from 1/2 to 1 lemon

Place olive oil in a medium large skillet and heat on medium high heat

Add onions and shallot slices and sprinkle with a bit of the HogWild

Saute onion and shallot until they are barely transparent; about 3 minutes

Reduce heat to medium and add squash slices, toss to coat with the olive oil evenly

Add the rest of the Italian Spice Blend; tossing to coat all vegetables with the spice

Saute over medium heat until squash is done to your specifications (if you like your squash still somewhat firm, it will be about 5 minutes)

Squeeze lemon juice over the vegetables immediately upon removing from heat.  Serve and enjoy!

OPTIONAL NOTE:  Instead of using the lemon juice; add Parmesan cheese to hot vegetables and toss to coat
