For those of you who are looking for a unique sweet heat BBQ blend – we are now releasing our blend to the market. This is an incredible blend that offers a first hit of sweetness, followed by a complex set of flavors on multiple layers.
Once you sort out those flavors, the warmth hits – just a hint, leaving a pleasing after affect on the tongue to complement the taste.
Not only does this blend caramelize when you cook with it, it actually melts into it’s own glaze leaving you some wonderful goodness on the plate to sop up with your meat!
You can add this into a sauce or glaze recipe as a substitution for many of the spices you might currently use, or just use it as a sprinkle or a rub. Simply sprinkle it on your proteins as you turn ‘em, mix it in to burgers, add it to a sauce or a chili mix, stew or experiment on your own – this is some serious BBQ goodness that you won’t believe!
And of course – as we always believe – no additions are necessary: No chemicals, fillers, tons of salt to cut the price or MSG. We don’t need ‘em!
Here are some quick ideas for using our BBQ Spice Blend:
When frying with the BBQ Blend, such as hamburgers or sauteing chicken, the food will glaze beautifully. Just be sure you turn the meat often; you do not want the sugars in the blend to burn. This spice blend creates its own sauce!
When grilling, you will want to apply the spice blend around the middle of the cooking period. If you want a smokier, spicier taste, do not add any more of the BBQ Blend. The sugars will cook off, leaving the smoky spice flavors behind. If you want a sweeter, glazed flavor; add some more spice about a minute before removing the food from the grill. Turn it over once to make sure the newly applied spice blend melts. You will get a burst of sweet and the smoky and spicy flavors follow behind!
Take some french bread; drizzle olive oil on both sides. Liberally sprinkle the HogWild BBQ Spice Blend on both sides. Fry the bread on a griddle or skillet, or broil. This is so delicious – it tastes like spicy french toast! This is a great snack when you have a sweet tooth and want something different! It could also be the basis of a really different kind of dessert; sprinkle with powdered sugar – add some sliced and macerated peaches; maybe a little whipped cream. Doesn’t that sound really good?
