Cajun
As a spice blend – this adds so much flavor to everything from simple dishes to soups, stews, gumbos, jambalaya – a distinctive musky, savory zip without overpowering the food, you will be guessing at the ingredients for a long time to come.
There are so many layers of flavor accompanied by a subtle warmth that leaves the mouth happy without the scalding that can often dampen a flavor palette due to too much heat.
This is a combination of spices that will go with most meats, definitely fish dishes, soups and stews to make you warm when you’re chilly, southern dishes and a kickin’ addition to a chili that might just separate your entry from other folks out there.
Add a good dose to wings – or just dust your proteins on the grill.
It’s all good!
All of the taste from the deep mid south heartland – and none of the bad stuff that you might come to expect from the store brands you run across.
Part of the reason we wanted to create this blend is we wanted to offer the cajun/creole blend without the overpowering salt blast that many store blends are. Companies don’t want you to think about how salt is so cheap – pennies per ounce – that when you pay so much for what is such a high percentage of salt you are not getting your money’s worth. You’re paying the price for what should be a gourmet blend of herbs and spices and just aren’t getting it.
That’s what we wanted to give our customers – the taste and value you deserve at a per ounce price comparable to the grocery store and healthier for you to boot!
You have some food in the freezer just crying out for this blend – give it a try!
